We are wrapping up the Sun in Capricorn and by Saturday, Jan, 20th we will welcome the Aquarius energy; a shift in the emotions for the better will take over the next 30 days! But, first things first, we have a New Moon on the horizon, in Capricorn; the Goat’s final push for power that will help us bring our attention and focus on matters at hand and allow us to make some important decisions. Energy can be low and slow, but Cappy’s New Moon will give us thoughts of being ambitious; we want to get moving, our bodies are too tired to do so. The Aquarius energy will allow us to detach emotionally from what has been weighing us down mentally and emotionally; a respite if you will. Now is really the time to make New Year’s resolutions- this week.
Make a New Moon wish list; write yourself a New Moon check and then send it off to the skies and let it go. We do not need to obsess over when, where and how it will show up and the easier you let go of the wishes, the quicker they will boomerang back to you. Genie says “Your Wish is My Command”, write it and it will come.
This week, my wisdom is the rediscovery of The Power of Sound. Sound Healing and the power that tones, tunes, rhythms and music have over our physical body. Music used to be a part of everyday life for me. I grew up in a home that the radio was always on in the kitchen, nearly every room had a state-of-the-art sound system, everyone in my family played a musical instrument. I have been to well over 5,000 live musical performances and concerts; music was my life. I remember dates and years; points in time based on a song; the boyfriends of many moons past can be defined by songs and albums; I remember people by their favorite artists and music. Then one day I just stopped playing music, stopped listening; I think I know why, but that is another story for another time. Needless to say, more than 5 years have passed, virtually note free, until this week, when frustrations and anger crested on the waves of mental self-destruction; I turned on the radio and a song was playing that I had not heard in a decade. I turned the volume to 30 and started driving; destination unknown; singing at the top of my lungs and I felt great!. Another and another song played and I realized “I need music”. Every day since I have been playing and listening to music; the sounds wafting through the house has shifted my energy, broken up the stagnant and malignant feeling that have been creeping in; nothing mattered any longer now that I found music again. I began reminiscing of the Sound Healing classes that I used to attend, given by a renowned jazz musician, Harold Smith; where is he I need his didgeridoo to cleanse and heal me. Alas, I could not find any events, yet I discovered that my favorite shop in Newtown, PA – Soulutions for Daily Living was featuring Angelo Rizzo, a sound healer, for a Sunday tune-up today! It was exactly what I needed. The peace and love that I experienced today is addictive, I cannot wait to do it again. Besides the discussion of intention and our mission for the class, he utilized crystal singing bowls, Tibetan bowls, tuning forks, cymbals, little dingling things, a piano, drums, guitar, a didge and rain sticks to name a few; each bringing a beauty and healing on a different level and something that each person in attendance could attach to. We then used the power of the sound of our voices to correlate with the instruments with an AhhhhOmmmmmmm to help clear our Throat Chakras. In my meditation, the colors returned to my Third Eye Chakra, my Heart Chakra was so filled with love and gratitude and I experienced an epiphany that I must take more time for myself for things like this; I give so much to everyone, why not ME? For you, I have included my own, homemade, 7 minute sound healing at the end of this week’s video for us to all enjoy and help to align and clear each one of our Chakras, beginning at the Root and ending at the Crown.
The Cards- I chose two sets of cards this week as the energies are shifting. Be sure to check out the full detail on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter this Monday and Thursday.
Now, here is your Weekly Wisdom en-JOY xoxo Kim

I am addicted to sound healing as well. I go a minimum of once a month twice if I can get in. It does so oh so much for us.
