Weekly Wisdom for June 11-17, 2017- Full Moon in Sagittarius, conjunct Saturn, opposed Gemini. Libra Direct and Neptune prepping for a Retrograde!
I am back and just in time for the Full Moon in Sagittarius AND Jupiter, the planet of Luck, goes Direct! What does this mean, you may ask? Let’s start with Jupiter in Libra. Our Luck in balancing, fair and just Libra has been in Retrograde motion since February 6th, so if you have not felt particularly lucky lately, this is why, however, now that our luck in back on track, I expect the remainder of the summer to be extraordinarily special and lucky. Of course, Jupiter is best for each individual when it is in their own personal Jupiter Sign and that only occurs once every 12 years for us, but if you think back 12 years ago to 2005 or another 12 to 1993 or another 12 to 1981; think back to those years and what was occurring for you during that period – for me I was meeting new loves in both of those years. They did not last, but they were exciting at the time and each time they were “better”, I expect that I should meet someone this year and it will be a really good one! A few friends of mine experienced different luck those years (because they have difference Astrological Charts obviously) some will experience career, home or money changes – all for the better of course!
Now this Full Moon in Sagittarius. Sag is a Fire Sign and it is opposite the Sun in Gemini, being of Air. The Sun is focused on thoughts of the mind, however, this Full Moon and the final higher degrees of Gemini beckon us the place our focus on our hearts and our feelings. So often our minds are racing a million miles a minute and our feelings are overlooked, but it is so important to really live by the heart and our feelings. If something does not feel good then you should not accept it and vice versa. Too often also, we give in to pleasing others even though our gut feeling are directing us elsewhere. I do not do anything that I do not FEEL like doing. My feeling rule my actions; the only exception are obligations, like taking care of my family, but my feelings are constantly having me question these obligations and making them more suitable to my overall well being.
This Full Moon is asking us to live from the heart. When our world and minds are full of chaos and the unknown, living within will ultimately expand and sooth out outer world. Meditation, prayer, exercise, sleep and eating well are all a part of taking good care of our inner self. Generally, Sagittarius wants to say yes to everything, the caveat is that Saturn is currently in Sagittarius and that is forcing us (with Gemini’s help) to narrow our focus on what is important and find our path and purpose or possibly redefining our path and purpose; tweaking it and expanding it. Saturn is us facing reality and pushing ourselves and limits. We do not get to just mill along anymore and it is time to step into our places. There could be a divine message, higher and divine calling coming out of this Full Moon; I feel as though this changing energy will carry through the next two weeks leading up to an explosive New Moon, launching us in a new direction.
Here is an excerpt from one of Mystic Mamma’s contributing writers on this transit:
From PAT LILES from The Power Path.com:
“Lord of Karma, our Master Teacher, Saturn is conjunct the Full Moon in Sagittarius.
“Here’s the ‘reality check’. Sag is about truth. The Truth. Your Truth. Telling the truth now, the whole truth.
“Put Saturn with the Moon ~ you have to tell the emotional truth, the subconscious truth.
“With Ceres, Mother Goddess, riding with the Sun opposite Moon-Saturn, the truth may be tied to your self worth and your issues with bonding, and how you were programmed at the earliest emotional levels.
“You may be called to midwife yourself through some charged emotional territory to gain more freedom. You may have to nourish yourself more deeply than you ever have before…”
“Jupiter in Libra is bringing us the opportunity to drop individual competitiveness and ‘all for me’ mind for practicing some real cooperation and the joy and lift it brings…”
“Committed relationships of all kinds are going to have to step up, and seek equilibrium. Allowing new restructuring and more freedom along with greater personal responsibility for all the dirt piles ego creates can go a long way in transforming your partner satisfaction.
“Thank you Pluto and Juno. Ask not what your partnership can do for you, but what YOU can do for your partnership…”
“Neptune is also the apex of a Finger of God ~ look to intuition, the poetic, your dreams and what dances you to loosen the deep cultural deception that binds us to the old martyred ways…”
“We still have a Grand Trine in Fire signs looking like this: Saturn in Sagittarius trines the North Node in Leo trines Pallas Athena-Eris-Uranus all together in Aries. All the fire signs lit up!
“‘What does it mean, they cry!’ It means you have a fire lit under you, you hear the truth, a bell goes off and Bam! Insight, Shift, and Action take place.
“Or you take a risk and you feel more alive than you have in a long time.
“Or there’s a line drawn in the sand, a huge blow up ensues, and everything is rebalanced and on the right track, because the truth has been told.
“Or you follow the long, disciplined practice of bringing your inspired idea into creation. There’s no way to predict how it will manifest for you, but you get the gist.
“The North Node assures us this is the cutting edge and right where our growth lies. And a Grand Trine means great ease. Go with what you’ve got!
“These next two months are our rest time… when we reopen ‘growth’ season with a lunar eclipse on Aug 7 and a huge total solar eclipse on August 21.
“That period will last into November at which time we will make the third and final pass of several big aspects.
“We will see how much we have grown, how flexible we have become, how new arenas of cooperation are overshadowing greed.
“We learn more faith and clear focus with every spin of the Moon.”
My Wisdom focuses on Contentment this week. How can we all be truly Content? Is contentment Joy? Is contentment mediocre? I feel that Contentment is a bit of both; it is the balance between sheer unadulterated Joy and Mediocrity. I always say and promote Gratitude for it is the pathway to elation and Joy and somewhere along that path to finding blissful joy is Contentment. There is nothing wrong with staying at the emotion of being content; you will receive more glimpses of joy through contentment and it is really exhausting being in a state of absolute joy all of the time, but being content is soothing; it is calming and peaceful as well and it all begins with Gratitude. I will remind you time and time again the importance of finding gratitude in your day, each and every day. Has anyone tried it? Does anyone reading this practice gratitude on the daily? If so, please tell me, let’s discuss. Does it or has it worked for you? If you are not practicing gratitude or keeping a gratitude journal, would you be willing to try it for 30 days? What if writing down 1 thing you were grateful for each night before bed for 30 days brought you content if not a little bit of Joy? Are you willing to try it? You see I at one time was a total miserable “F**k”, seriously I was. I was Miss gloom and doom. I was dwelling in the basement of my soul until I found gratitude. The funny thing is, the more I thought about the things I was grateful for, the less I thought about the things that I was miserable about. The more I was grateful, the more grateful I was and the more things that I could be grateful for started showing up In my life. Yes, like attracts like and energy attracts energy. The way we think and act is like a magnet – attracting what shows up on our doorstep. Gratitude leads to Contentment and that leads to Joy. So why wouldn’t you try it, at least for a month? What if I told you that Joyful and Content people are blessed with more; more in the way of manifesting your dreams? I recently told some friends of a relative that complained about the black cloud hanging over her head. She wanted to know why only bad luck follows her and bad things happen to her? I politely and honestly told her that it was her choices, actions, decisions; her thoughts and lack of appreciation of the good things that cause her black cloud to follow her and yes I have rainbows and sunshine pouring from xxx most of the time. I am content, just as I am, just how everything is and that brings me Joy. I hope you all find a piece of contentment. Begin with baby steps –
- Eat Well – put the best, freshest and most nutrient rich food into your body. When we eat well we naturally feel better.
- Sleep Well – be sure to get 7-8 hours of sleep per night. When we sleep well, our bodies repair, our minds process the thoughts and stress of the day. More sleep helps us to lose weight and be happier in general.
- Exercise- Moving the body every day keeps us young and releases endorphins that give us feelings of euphoria. The more you move, the more endorphins are released. It also helps you to sleep better.
- Pray or Meditation- Quiet the mind is necessary to de-stress and connect to “something more”. I personally enjoy Active Meditation – where I go on long walks, in nature, by myself, in the quiet; it does double duty. Mindful breathing breaks also work wonders – when you find yourself stressed, stop and take 10 breaths with your eyes closed. Doing this multiple times a day will calm the chaos.
Stay tuned for my vacation blog – where Maine, birds and kindred spirits meet– speaking of spirits, they were present, yes there is a ghost story that is still giving me goosebumps.
