Luckily, we have a quiet week ahead. No crazy Moon, no major aspects that are worth mentioning; we get a break this week to soak in to last week’s powerful energy. It is time to work on our transformations and I feel stuck and frozen.
Last week, I pulled the Chop Wood and Clean It Up cards and I have been trying to live by the messages that I posted with those cards (on Facebook and Instagram). Suddenly, I see mounds of work that needs tending to; clutter and cleaning and I cannot seem to motivate myself. I did however scrub my bathroom this morning and the kitchen granite, took out some trash – that is as far as I got. Took a nap and now I feel like I am behind. The weekend whizzing by and barely any progress has been made.
I am having a hard time letting my crap go and so it grows; I am wondering what is this about? Am I just being lazy or am I stuck? A little of both maybe, but the stickiness of being stuck is a good opportunity for me and all of us to take a deeper look inward as it usually indicates a bigger issue brewing. I could just use the excuse of Winter; I am not much good when it is cold out. I am cranky and cantankerous, and I prefer to just be all snug and warm in my bed. It takes true effort to motivate. On the bright side, we just celebrated Imbolc, which is the Celts first day of Spring. As soon as some warmth and sunshine show up and the first signs of growth sprout, I too will spring up with great enthusiasm.
What’s New? I have added a new category on the Expressions blog “Animal Totems and Medicine”. Here you will find past and present blogs on various animals that cross our paths, the meanings, medicine and healing they bring. I keep wanting to add more and expand on this topic as I live through animal totems every day. I pay attention to who crosses my path and I go into contemplation on what the message is. I pay attention. That is the purpose of the Totems; when the cross our path or come into our awareness whether in the wild, or as a photo, word of the animal, on tv, in a store as a trinket; if you see a repeating animal then you should pay attention and look up the meaning. Many of my friends will message me and ask what a particular animal means. I can and usually do give them the general interpretation or my personal feeling of the energy, but I always ask them to think deeply about what the animal means to them. What was it doing? What is it behavior and where was it going? Was it vocal or quiet? All these ae symbols to listen to quietly with your heart and your mind.
Since I am on the theme of Animal Totems, I am thrilled to introduce a new tarot deck that I have been waiting on for a long time. The Naked Heart Tarot by Jillian C Wilde. Long story short, I discovered her on Instagram for an Animal Totem she was drawing, only to discover that she was creating a tarot deck. I followed and watched as each animal came to life. They and this creation spoke to me. Typically, I change up decks each week for my Weekly Wisdom and daily tarot reading, but I want to connect and learn this deck and share it with all of you, so I will be using it all month. I hope you find the art and the messages fascinating and intriguing. Let this deck inspire me to expand my Animal Totem category and provide more symbolism and wisdom to you through this creation!
Now, here is your Weekly Wisdom video- en_JOY! Xoxo Kim
