THE SWEET SPOT
I love when I hear good information. It may be old material, delivered in a new way or it could just be that I was not ready to hear the data at that time, oh but when I am ready for it, I am like a wide eyed child on Christmas morning. A spark goes off in my brain and internally my inner voice says “A-HA”!
As I was sitting in on a recent seminar, scrolling through my brain for which of life’s big answers that I needed to know and I kept going back to the fact that I am currently unemployed, I do not want to go back into the Banking and Mortgage Finance field and I need money. That is when a woman started speaking about “The Sweet Spot”. When you are in a situation and you are happy and comfortable and in total appreciation of where you are in that moment you have hit your Sweet Spot. Abraham-Hicks then elaborated on that scenario by exclaiming that we should all be doing, being and experiencing our Sweet Spots as often as possible because when we are living in our Sweet Spot, everything will fall into place.
Just then, it hit me, I know what I should be doing, I know what my Sweet Spot is; I have known what my Sweet Spot is since I was 8 years old! Next question in my head…How do I make money out of this? As the seminar continued, it was explained that if you stay in your Sweet Spot as often as possible, everything imaginable will be brought to you in the perfecting timing; the right people, the right opportunities which could possibly be income money as well.
You may be wondering about your own Sweet Spot now. Good. Imagine that you are dreaming of a beautiful new house, new car or vacation of a life time. You go online and start researching the different possibilities and prices; destinations and locations. Your heart starts to do a little pitter patter and you get butterflies floating around in your stomach. You are excited and the more excited you get, the more dreaming you do. While you are in that process and you are feeling the joy of imagining and dreaming, you are finding your Sweet Spot. This can also be true of a hobby that you love. For me it is writing, gardening and of course the love of my family and my fur family. When I am writing or in the garden or loving up my babies, I am in my Sweet Spot. I did not realize it until I heard Abraham-Hicks say the words, but writing and gardening are the two things that I could do all day, every day and still feel joy and happiness doing them. So much so that I do them regardless of any financial kickback, any human commentary, I write for the love of writing and I garden for the love of seeing the beauty outside of my windows every day. That is the Sweet Spot.
Conversely, if anyone or anything is getting in the way of you being, reaching and maintaining hitting that Sweet Spot, I would say, good-bye and good riddance as living in your Sweet Spot, even it is just a dream right now, is the path to most allowance, the path to most abundance and the path to your most happy joyful life. I cannot think of anyone that purposely declares that they want to live miserably. We all want that slice of joyful life and if that means saying good-bye to people, places and things that no longer serve you, then so be it. I am doing the same. I know what I want. I know how I want my life to look and be like and I am living proof that big dreams and living in my Sweet Spot produces great results and then I think “Self, how much more fabulous could my life be if I purged even more of what I do not want in my life”? Well, I plan on finding out. I no longer have a place for anything useless, broken and damaged.
Here is a small example of what I have noticed about living in my Sweet Spot:
- Several years ago I was very unhappy where I was living. The neighborhood had been declining and it was zapping my creative juices. My Joie de Vie was dwindling and I was feeling it more and more as the weeks and months went on. I woke up one day and declared that I was going to buy a home and I started my internet search immediately. I started looking at different neighborhoods, prices and styles. Started making lists of what my must haves were. I started dreaming and imagining. Then I took a look at my finances and felt a thrill to get them into order so that if the perfect house came along, I could jump on it. My excitement lead to my family getting excited (this only fed deeper into the Sweet Spot). Every day I would dream and imagine that perfect house and what life would be like living there. Within a few weeks I had found a house, went to see it, felt great about it, put in an offer and within one month bought it and moved it. It happened that quickly.
Everything moved so quickly and that is what living in your Sweet Spot is all about. When you are in that place of joy, imagination and appreciation you are in a great flow of Universal energy and everything just starts flowing to you. You are in the place of most allowance and even your setbacks will feel minor and you will just brush them off your shoulder like a bit of fallen dust.
The bottom line is (and I always have a bottom line when I am writing) do what brings you joy and happiness as often as possible. Be in the company of people that only bring you happiness, joy and laughter. Dream and imagine big and keep dreaming and imagining big. Stay in that flow. The positivity alone will propel you to greater places. This energy is what vision boards are made of so start dreaming BIG! xoxo-Kim
