The North Node of the Moon will move into Cancer Nov 07 2018 to May 05 2020, what does could this possibly mean for all of us? In the companion video I give you all the opportunity to choose your own cards and I will read the messages specifically designed for you!
A lunar node is either of the two orbital nodes of the Moon, that is, the two points at which the orbit of the Moon intersects the ecliptic. The ascending node is where the Moon moves into the northern ecliptic hemisphere, while the descending node is where the Moon enters the southern ecliptic hemisphere Wikipedia
The North Node is commonly known as the Dragon’s Head and the South Node, the Dragon’s Tail. The North Node points to where we will shine in life, where we are heading and where we should place our focus in this life. The South Node is past life, where we are coming from and where we need to detach from. Most people will act out their South Node or Dragon’s Tail at least up through age 30 as this is comfortable and known, although it is also a shadow side. Should a person ascend their egos spiritually enough, they will start pointing towards their North Node, as they should. We all have our own personal North and South Nodes at our time of birth; the House and Sign along with the joining aspects determine how your Nodes will play out in your life now. Today, I focus on the North Node moving into Cancer and for quite some time, so relax and let’s get comfortable.
Whenever I am preparing to write an article regarding an upcoming transit, I first like to check the historical dates of the previous transit timelines in that Sign and think back, as far as I can to those times. I initially ponder what was going on in my own life at that time and what that time meant to me; did anything stand out. I will then search for big news events through the timeline and match it with our current world affairs. I then allow my intuition to do the rest as I suss out what the new transit energy MAY bring us in the upcoming course.
Let’s look at the previous North Node in Cancer dates below
- Oct 27 1925 to Apr 16 1927 – First edition of Hitler’s Mein Kampf, first television transmission, Peace Treaties in Europe are made, Tennessee school teacher arrested for teaching the theory of evolution, general strike in Britain brings all activities to a standstill, Nicaraguan revolution begins, first racist right wing radio broadcast, socialists riot in Vienna, German economy collapses, worldwide protests over social injustices, the Big Bang theory is first introduced.
- May 12 1944 to Dec 03 1945 – D-Day Normandy invasion, Anne Frank captured and sent to concentration camp, Battle of the Bulge, first instance of network censorship, WWII, Hitler commits suicide, end of WWII. The United Nations formed.
- Dec 24 1962 to Aug 25 1964 – The biggest news of this era was the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, the march on Washington for Civil Rights, France and Germany sign treaty to end a 4 centuries long argument, Kenya gains independence, Vietnam War, Nelson Mandela imprisoned, China detonates first atomic bomb.
- Sep 25 1981 to Mar 16 1983 – I was in High School during this time, life was grand, life was good. I personally cannot think of anything “major” standing out. In the news, Sandra Day O’Connor becomes the first female Supreme Court Justice in the USA, the Boeing 767 makes its first flight and the Sydney Tower opens, Anwar Sadat is assassinated, Antigua & Barbuda gain independence from the UK, Cold War denuclearization negotiations begin, Canada obtains Royal Assent and acquires its own Parliament, Whaling ends and whales are now free, first International Day of Peace is declared.
- Apr 10 2000 to Oct 13 2001 – besides a major breakup with a long time boyfriend, I broke free, I see many situations where “breaking free” is a theme. Elian Gonzalez breaks free from Cuba and comes to America, The Tienanmen Square self-immolation incident occurred, Calcutta reclaimed its original name of Kolkata, the crowned prince of Nepal murdered the King and Queen, his mother and father, his entire family and himself in order to break free leaving his uncle to be the last ruling King of Nepal after major upheaval against him- the people broke free. A over a dozen earth quakes occurred throughout the world- Mother Earth breaking free. One of the largest events of this time (for Americans) would be the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 which lead to outbreaks in war around the world.
The amount of data can be overwhelming and this was just a sampling of world events. I pulled out what appeared to be some of the biggest highlights for these years; standing out most would be the strife of people, war, revolution, the opposition to power and freedom, fighting for human rights, domination; the culmination of increasing instances of natural disasters also protesting for freedom. Through my research I have found that the need for freedom, standing up for one’s self, breaking free from oppression and the war that comes from the common people fighting back, in addition to world powers fighting for more power and trying to maintain the status quo of repressing the masses.
There seems to be pluses and minuses for every Nodal Sign, as with any planetary aspect. There is always the light and shadow side of an aspect and it is our duty to do our best to play out an aspect in both respects; typically beginning with the shadow and working our way into the light.
If we take a look at the typical traits of Cancer, we can see some of the themes that will be longing to play out during this 18-month transit; nurturing, emotional sensitivity, family and home, compassion, the divine feminine, heart centric goals and actions.
While it has been theorized by many astrologers that the North Node points to our karmic paths and the lessons we are destined to live in this lifetime, the South Node being the challenges and lessons we have already experienced in past lives.
This North Node in Cancer will have us focusing on Self-Value, catharsis, security, creativity, relationships, finances and our Nest. Healthy boundaries, grounded creativity, purging wounded emotions, self-nurturing and nurturing others. Balancing the Archetypes in our lives and acquiring a new perspective on archetypes; seeing them with a new set of eyes. Releasing restrictions, rules, relationships that are not based in love and filled with emotional openness and transparency.
How this transit affects you will be based on which Astrological House Cancer resides in your own personal Natal Chart; it will stay in that House for the entire 18 months. Although the North Node in any Sign will affect all aspects of our lives with that Sign’s themes, the most potent changes will occur in your Natal House Transit.
If you have never had your chart done, now is a great time to order one from me or another reputable Astrologer as Jupiter will also be moving into Sagittarius November 8th for one year bringing us even more expansive energies. The stars are always moving, changing and affecting our lives; it is good to be knowledgeable and forewarned.
While the House that Cancer will be transiting plays the largest role, I invite you to think back to the most recent NN in Cancer, April 2000 through October 13, 2001. What was occurring in your life during that time? Anything particular surrounding family issues, your roots or your foundations in life? This transit allows for you to clean up any unfinished business from that era and move on and forward from any wounds that occurred or opportunities that may have passed you by. With Cancer ruling the 4th Astrological House (generally) refers to the home and everything associated with it (both the childhood home & the current home): family, land, personal foundations (inner emotional security), your roots. Astrologers are divided over whether this house is associated with one’s mother or father. Any unresolved business or lingering guilt and regret in these areas must be dealt with and banished for good during this time, whether you want to or not; it will benefit immensely in the end.
During a recent channeling, my guides informed me that the North Node in Cancer says we will be rebelling against everything that no longer feels good. Rebelling against slaving away; being a slave to the wage. Rebellion against corporations and ruthlessness. People will want to nurture themselves, their families and spend more time at home, all comfy cozy.
NN (North Node) in Leo was the opening of our hearts, NN in Cancer shows us that care and healing can now begin.
We are saying “F” this shit to working more for less money and spending less time with the people we love. “F” the corporations controlling us. It will be time to put The Self-first. Stand up for the Self, stand up for family time, time with friends, time relaxing in the home, time spent having fun and focused on hobbies that bring sheer joy; the types of activities that has time flying by without watching the clock.
I highly recommend starting a Nest Egg of cash (must take own advice ASAP). Don’t be surprised if by 2020 when Saturn, Pluto and Jupiter collide in Capricorn we have a societal collapse. The starts are aligning to match the financial downfall and collapse of 2007-2008 that cause a rescission around the world.
Self-sustainability will be vitally important and learning how to survive outside of this matrix. Learning how to grow our own organic food. Study, learn and create sources of food. Even urban dwellers can discover ways to grow potted herbs and vegetables, miniature fruits, greens, micro greens. Highly nutritious sustenance. Anyone can grow something and nurture it. Not only will it improve your health, but you could possibly use your garden to barter with a fellow gardener. Community gardens are also a great way to grow your own food if your do not have any of your own land. It is generally very inexpensive to get involved in such a garden community and some will even allow you to volunteer your sweat and labor in exchange for its bounty, if you are not the Green Thumb kind of person. Offer to weed or mow and till the gardens and you just may have a free meal several days a week; barter your time or veggies to sustain yourself. Bartering again is not too far off in the future as I see it; gaining and being able to offer unique skills will be essential. Just polish up on your knowledge of assorted hobbies that interest you that could possibly get your by in changing times.
Embracing our feelings will dominate and be of utmost importance. Following our feelings, the way we feel vs. how we think; it is a time to step out of purely logical “thinking” and get in touch with the queues that our bodies give us through primal instinct, intuition, energetic impulses. When I think of “primal instinct” and energetic impulses I am immediately drawn to animal behavior. Animals can sense, feel and read another being’s energy from 50 to 75 feet away. They are that in tune with the world around them. They instantly know the vibe a human or other animal is giving off; they know the being’s intentions and emotions and proceed accordingly; just imagine how grand it would be to live, knowing exactly where everyone you every cross a path with stands! Not having to question motives or authenticity because you could sense it at its core. We already do possess a decent amount of this capability; however, we are distracted by too much stimuli and have to “think” on the fly. Life moves so quickly for humans we often do not have enough time to tune into our feelings and we allow our heads to rule over our heart and gut intuition. Take this time to slow down and tap into your primal instincts.
My best advice is to educate yourselves with this information, prepare and go with the flow; don’t sweat the small stuff because it just really is not that important. No storm lasts forever, they all pass.
