Welcome, step right up…welcome to the show… WOW what a week to start off 2021; after the 7 day trial, we’d like to cancel our subscription. I would like to coin the first week of this year an appetizer to the 52 course meal we are about to experience.
This week the 3 personal planets of Mars, Mercury and Venus moved into new Signs. Mars into Taurus, Mercury into Aquarius, and Venus into Capricorn.
I think we all felt that anaretic degree of Mars – 29 ° right before that push into Taurus on January 6th. I felt a deep rage and anger boil up within me and the United States of America went batshit crazy. Now we can all take a nap until March 4th when he moves into communicative Gemini.
Mercury in Aquarius will give us a precursor to his Retrograde at the end of the month and each of the Retrogrades in Air Signs this year. Pay attention to the thoughts and conversations you are having January 14-29th as that will show you the theme that you will need to cover in the Rx period from January 30- February 21st -shadow through March 13th where we will wrap up the 1st of three (3) Mercury Retrogrades this year. The remaining two will be May-June and September-October.
Venus moved into Capricorn after her stint being curious and getting her way in Sagittarius – now she has to deal with more serious matters. She is planning and plotting, seeking out what her heart truly values and figuring out what she must do to survive. Since Venus tends to rule our values, both materialistically and ethereally, I would tend to lean toward the material now while she is in Capricorn until February 2nd, just in time for Valentine’s Day where she can dream up all the lovie dovie sentiments she wishes. Until then we should set up a financial plan for this year. Venus is making a budget and she is implementing it. Possibly thinking of adding to a little nest egg in the lean days of Northern Hemisphere Winter and the ample days of Southern Hemisphere Summer; a plan to be had, it is good to have a plan and a back up plan and a good way to kick off the New Year.
New Moon in Capricorn on January 13th at 12:00 a.m. EST and East, January 12th West – 11:00 pm CST, 10 MST, 9 PST etc. and at 23 ° 13′ brings a change in our thinking and beliefs around structures, foundations, needs, rules, restrictions, those that govern us and our world. Mostly we are being asked to pay attention and to learn from the Great Father Saturn and open up a new doorway knowing we do not have to go it alone any longer. With a conjunction to Pluto there is a need for transformation; an ending for a new beginning. A Square to Mars and Uranus, our values are changing and we should expect the unexpected – that is my theme for this year – Expect The Unexpected! Especially with Uranus stationing Direct on January 14th.
The unexpected, yes, We have already gotten a taste of that this past week with the beginning of the Saturn/Uranus Square that will carry on for 26 months. Saturn in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus. It is interesting that Saturn is the traditional ruler of Aquarius and Uranus is the modern ruler of Aquarius. Uranus is not comfortable in Taurus or maybe I should say Taurus is not comfortable having Uranus on his back for 7 years, bringing changes everything Taurus represents; values, practicality, security, comfort, sensual pleasures, money, currency, finances income. Uranus will make things exciting and shocking in these areas as he bulldozes through these sectors. Since Saturn is the Taskmaster and Aquarius is the change, could Saturn be using Uranus to do his dirty work? Saturn will bring an opportunity to make progress and inclusive changes in the world, but he tasks us to do all the hard labor; Uranus will bring difficult challenges to us and shove them in our faces with the brute force of the Bull (Taurus) and having us dancing on our toes to course correct. This is why having a plan for this coming year is essential.
New You? This is a really good year for internal personal growth. Going inward and contemplating our personal parts to the bigger whole; not looking outward for the solutions.
Besides improving our health and mental well being, getting enough rest and sleep, slowing down, enjoying nature, getting plenty of movement, drinking water and eating whole foods, thinking about where we would personally like to be at the end of this year and making them in small increments. Just getting through a rough day or week is enough sometimes.
Some things to consider during these challenging times is what I like to call Staying in my own lane… As important as staying privy to current events and our social life, times now call for silence for sanity. I too find it difficult when chaos erupts in the world and uncertainty is staring us in the face to stay glued to the television for outcomes and jump onto social media for the feedback. It feels like a disease or an addiction that is hard to break, but for our own sanity and mental health it is very important to limit our exposure to it. After this week’s events in the United States, I find myself exhausted and drained – I forgive myself for feeding my soul with that poison and hope to do better in the coming weeks and months because there will be more of this as prescribed by our friends Saturn and Uranus. These bouts and brinks of chaos are what will advance our world and society so “they” say. Just beware of what we are buying into with the 4th Industrial Revolution on the rise and the ever presence of Transhumanism knocking at our doors.
