Mid-June has us gearing up for the New Moon in Gemini at 26° 43′ on June 18th at 12:37 am EST, with a focus on our words and thinking. New Moons are for bringing and manifesting something new, especially tied to the theme of the given Sign that the New Moon occurs. Here we have the archetype of the Twins, the thinkers, communicators, the mind and dexterity that initially connects us all to each other from a very early age. Gemini can mentally process stimuli very quickly, taking in and absorbing everything happening around them, shaping their world and mental processes. The 26th degree of this New Moon takes on the flavor of Aquarius energy being in the third decanate of the Air element; the mental synapses are super charged and even more disconnected emotionally. So where can we change and bring in new thoughts that allow us to change the way we communicate? Luckily, the Sextile to both Venus and Mars in Leo which can help us get out of our heads and into our hearts. Gemini being an Air Sign Rules the Lungs, all bodily connections, and the hands of the body. Out in the world, Gemini Rules short travel, transportation, telephones, televisions, writing and journalism, elementary educations, siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins, neighbors and our neighborhood, books, reading and learning; now is a good time to buy a new journal, that Summer book, and make plans for Summer road trips. Going back to the degree of this New Moon being at 26, it says to me that when we tap into our hearts, stay in our highest vibration of happiness and harmony, we can manifest anything 2+6=8. That is why this is a great time to evaluate any toxic mental chatter that is the opposite of the type of thinking that is required to actually bring in and manifest the kind of life we are all looking for. Our thoughts become things, so make them good. Being social or not, creative writing projects are highlighted or learning something new. Clear the Clutter Mentally and Physically. Being a Gemini whose mind never shuts off, I find that if there is too much physical clutter laying out and around, it is a good indication of where I am mentally, but it also effects me mentally and hinders my ability to think clearly. It is a scientific fact that physical clutter can cause anxiety. This New Moon is a great time to clear out our spaces, especially since this New Moon takes place in the 4th House of the Home and Hearth, and within our families. A quick tip if you feel overwhelmed by clutter – begin in the smallest room and work your way around the house. I also love the 10 minute trick where you can set a timer for 10 minutes and tackle one spot for 10 minutes. Each little bit helps in the grand scheme of decluttering your space and your mind.
Here is the chart for the New Moon:
Pluto Retrograde has now moved back into Capricorn, we will be re-exploring the old issues surrounding money, banking, finance, foundations, infrastructures, religion, politics, suppression, control and power struggles. I think of these old issues as Angry, Racist White Men “Stuff”. The 5 time back and forth movement of Pluto over the next two years between the old Capricornian archetypes and the new open minded ideas of Aquarius is necessary so that we never go back to the way man has been living for the last 250 years; sometimes we just have to take a look back and be reminded how bad it really was.
Saturn Retrograde in Pisces has us reflecting on past lessons, our own personal Karma and repetitive patterns that are not serving our highest good. Remember, what comes around, goes around and Karma never forgets an address.
Venus enters the Pre-Retrograde Shadow prepping for a long reversal in Leo, the Sun, the Heart; conjuncting Mars at the beginning of this could bring a lot of loving, creativity and heated romance into our lives; it can also bring a lot of drama and over the top Ego arguments to our tables, especially between men and women, disparity issues and the spotlight are highlighted, we could see old sexual violation allegation issues reemerging, power struggles, money and the things we value will need to be reevaluated as well. Since the Retrograde does not begin until the third week of July, we will explore this more next month. Just be on the look out for the past returning; issues that we saw 8, 16, 24, 32, 40, 48 years ago to crop up. It is a good time to either start a new spending budget; take a look at what is coming in financially and what is going out as far as spending goes, what can we let go of or change…. what is of true value that makes our hearts sing?
Neptune Retrograde finishes out the month having us take a deep, long dive into our intuitive, psychic side. Tap into the messages that you need to know!
Summertime and the living’s easy……… Welcome to the Solstice, occurring on June 21st when the Sun enters Cancer at 10:57 am EST– Summer in the Northern Hemisphere and Winter in the Southern Hemisphere. I love that there is a Stellium in Leo (my Moon) with the Moon, Venus and Mars saying follow your heart this Summer. The Sun up in the 10th House shows me that we will be dealing with or seeing developments in our outer worlds especially in the news, career and goals, and Mother/Father parental issues. Saturn and Neptune in the 7th House shows that there will be issues and fogginess surrounding our relationships with other people for the next three months and we could have the feeling of being constricted by some of our relationships. Pluto Rx in the 5th House shows me that we need to take a look and step back into our childhoods or back to a time where we can find our inner child and let that younger version of ourselves out to play for a few months. Strive to be less serious about everything! Here is the chart for the Solstice:
