Happy New Year and Welcome 2017!
I am sure I am not the only one that is ready to say good bye and good riddance to 2016; it was not the easiest of years for many. I do attribute much of it to the planetary energies as they were CRAZY much of the year. Maybe you do not believe in Astrology and that is o.k., but you know I combine Astrology with Tarot, Crystals, Numerology and Animal Totems – there is so much magic in the world and it is all around us every single second of every day, even I miss a lot of it, but I do my best to notice. When I do, it surprises me, shocks and delights me. I am still in awe when those magical moments occur and I don’t think that I will ever get bored of finding magic.
If you have been with me for a while you may have read my 2016 Forecast blog. I mostly focused on how 2016 was a year of endings (in numerology that is) 2+0+1+6 = 9 and that is endings. In Astrological numerology, it equals Action or getting into Action, we saw both the world coming into Action with some big and unusual changes in world politics and some major endings with some very famous passings. If you read last year’s blog I predicted that we would see many deaths and we did. Some of the greats left us and me being so analytical, in case you didn’t know, I made a spread she over the last 10 years to analyze and count to see just how 2016 measured up. Most years see approximately 50 celebrity deaths, however, 2016 experienced 154 famous passings! Three times the typical amount. No wonder 2016 was so emotionally difficult, every time we turned on the television or our devices, someone was leaving us. Even when I completed a 10-year average, that only equated to 73.6 (probably because 2016 had so many), but still… 2016 was double the 10-year average. I have a strong feeling that The Queen was supposed to exit/depart/pass in 2016, but something kept her hanging on…I really feel that she and Prince Phillip will be passing though in 2017 – the feeling is overwhelming. I hope that I am wrong.
Numerological energy runs in 9 year cycles; 2016 being the end of that 9-year cycle. Think back to 2007, the last 9 year; remember what was going on in your life then and you may discover how your life has shifted over that time and maybe there were some unfinished business from then that needed to end in 2016? We really needed to unload quite a bit of baggage in 2016 and lighten our loads so that we can start fresh this year.
Now for the good news… 2017 equals 1 2+0+1+7 = 10 1+0=1 break it down to the smallest number.
1 is the number of Beginnings and the New! Renewal abounds – thank the Universe! So, does that mean many new births? We must wait and see. But first, let me quote numerology.com with their impeccable description of #1:
“From a spiritual perspective, it is the number of creation, the primal force from which all other numbers spring forth (as opposed to the often quoted zero from which, by definition, nothing could possibly come into being). It is said that when you truly understand the place and function of this most primal of all numbers, you will know all there is to know and enlightenment is yours.
The 1 is a doer, a powerful force that produces results and does not allow anything or anyone to limit its potential. The 1 is aggressive, a necessary energy for creating and producing. The 1 is always in the forefront: a spearpoint directing and leading others. The shape of the number 1, just like the shape of all other symbols, reflects its meaning; it walks upright with pride and purpose. Strong, determined, unwavering and with specific goals in mind, the 1 can turn dreams and ideas into reality. It pushes obstacles aside or simply drills right through them. The 1 tends to have a simple, straightforward view of life and its many complexities. It trusts its own ability to separate right from wrong. It doesn’t waste time on abstract ideas or anything else that isn’t in line with its pursuit of results. The 1 is no preacher, no philosopher, no spiritual explorer, no dreamer and certainly not an idealist. It is a pragmatist, a ruthless conqueror and a warrior extraordinaire. It is individualistic and independent to a fault. It will attempt to force its values and opinions on you but it won’t accept, or even listen to yours”.
Ready for some Tarot?
What started out with 1 layer of a Tarot Wheel turned into several layers and became a very complex layout … massive I must say. I shot a photo of it from overhead, turned them over and shot another photo, took a step back so that I could contemplate the lot and come up with a plan on how to reveal the layout and finally decided that I would have to break it down in pieces so that we could better digest everything. To the left is how I laid out the cards. The center gives you the overall energy, the side cards show the particular energy for each season. The outer layer represents each month, 1 being January, 2 February and so forth. I then added an additional layer to each “month” card with the crystal energy and to give us further detail for that month.
The overall message that I see right off the bat is that of many opportunities ahead for all of us to learn, grow and begin the new. There are some challenges, but we should look at them as opportunities. Each month I will revisit these cards and combine them with the Astrology for the month, this year, so that we can see how it all turns out! Be sure to check out the 12-part series that will break these down video at the end of this blog . For now, here is the layout:
WHAT DOES THE ASTROLOGY SAY?
Here is a little peek into the first 6 months of 2017:
JANUARY- We start the year with a Mercury Retrograde in Capricorn. This Mercury has had us rethinking and questioning our safety, stability and soundness; usually regarding financial matters when we are in Earthy Capricorn. 2017 will house Mercury Retrogrades in the Fire Signs- Aries, Leo and Sagittarius. These are the Signs most effected, but we can never rule out Gemini and the Twins are always crippled by Mercury Retrograde, their ruling planet. Remember, Mercury rules thinking, communication, travel and electronics, which in turn influences relationships and binding contracts. Mercury will go direct on January 8th so our thoughts should lighten up after that. We could still be a little serious until the Sun moves into eccentric Aquarius on the 20th!
Another aspect to note for January 1st is Mars at 9 degrees conjunct Neptune at 9 degrees both in Pisces. We ring in the New Year with an aggressive yet dreamy quality – here 9 means both endings and action. We want to get things started ASAP and we have many ideas or dreams of how 2017 can be a better year. This energy can leave you feeling kind of funky and it really depends on your level of spiritual development on whether you are optimistic or paranoid, delusional or grounded, peaceful or hateful.
The Full Moon in Cancer on the 8th-9th-10th could have us cleaning house and making new deals for the future. The Nest is highlighted and you can expect to be a little emotional over what is missing in your life. This Full Moon is at home in Cancer that is why I call this the energy of the Nest (Home). The New Moon in Aquarius on January 27th is our Dream Maker and we will be sending out thoughts and wishes of hope for the future. I love this New Moon energy already!
FEBRUARY- Jupiter will go Retrograde – our Luck is turning and a shocking Full Moon Lunar Eclipse and a New Moon Solar Eclipse will shake things up.
MARCH- Venus goes Retrograde turning our love inside out.
APRIL- Saturn, Mercury and Pluto all go Retrograde – If you were just thinking this year doesn’t look much better than last then you and I are thinking alike. Remember, Retrogrades give us the opportunity to reflect so that we can clear and move forward.
MAY- Mercury goes direct as we prepare for a sunny summer.
JUNE- you will just have to come back to see what the rest of the Astrological year brings.
2017 comes in like a dream on a cloud and then the winds pick up and turn things around like a tornado a bit, but we cannot have new beginnings until we have fully cleared out the old and outworn. I was just thinking back about different decades of my life and how there are always highs and lows every year, but the good times and memories stand out the most and when I look back to those times I could never image being where I am now 10, 20 or 30 years ago, I am excited what the next 10 will bring.
As the months roll on I will be sure to bring you more detail of the aspects in my Weekly Wisdom videos and blogs; I do not want to overwhelm you or Me and we should just stay in the present moment as much as possible and not look too far ahead.
Here is the 1st part of the 12 (maybe more) series of videos breaking down the layout month by month – ENJOY!
