WOW! 2020 has been quite the year for us all and we are going to end it on a bang beginning with the Full Beaver Moon in Gemini at 8 degrees and a partial Lunar Eclipse, apexing at 4:29 am Monday, November 30th for Eastern Standard Time, 1:29 am Pacific Time, 2:29 am Mountain, 3:29 am Central, 9:30 am London UK, 8:30 pm Victoria/Melbourne Australia, 10:30 am Frankfurt Germany, and 9;29 pm November 29th in Honolulu Hawaii etc. The Eclipse will begin approximately 2 hours prior to the apex of the Full Moon and be one of the longest lasting Eclipses coming in around 4 ½ hours long. Regions seeing, at least, some parts of the eclipse: Much of Europe, Much of Asia, Australia, North America, South America, Pacific, Atlantic, Arctic.
This Full Moon in Gemini always falls when the Sun is in Sagittarius and the Moon is on the opposite side of the Earth in the Constellation of the Twins. Aptly named the Full Beaver Moon as it was a time that the nocturnal Beavers would make their final preparations to their river dams to secure them in for the Winter and before everything freezes over. They prepared under the light of the Full Moon knowing that a long, cold, barren darkness would be approaching. Also sometimes known as the Frost or Freezing Moon or Mourning Moon as their would be a scarcity of food and that much dies away during the freeze.
Since the Eclipses add a strange boost of energy, they make for an even more powerful Moon. Created by the North and South Nodes of the Moons and the perfect alignment of; the North Node has been in Gemini since May 6, 2020 and will remain there until January 18, 2022 (South Node in Sagittarius). This is one of the longest transits of the North Node in recent memory.
This is a time of duality and seeing both sides, but more importantly, it is a time of release; a release of old outworn South Node ideologies and an opening to a fresh beginner’s mind and that of curiosity. The Saros Cycle that began in May of 2000 when the Sun and Moon were in Taurus and entering the Gemini Phase, making her final Eclipse on June 10, 2021 and North Node journey January 18, 2022 for a new 18 year cycle. Before I get into what we are releasing, on what the focus du jour is, let’s remember back to the key dates in this Cycle. Think back to what was going on in your life during these times. Is there any significance to them for you personally? This Eclipse will bring something similar, an ending for a new beginning. Of course those with strong Geminin placements in their birth/natal charts will have the strongest effects, but it is helpful to know your chart, know where Gemini is in your chart, the House or area that will be effected and the planets that rule those Houses. 2001, 2002, 2001, 2012, 2019 and of course 2020. How were these years significant to you? What ended? What began? As with any ending and new beginning, we do not fully understand the meaning at the time, but we can look back through time and see how that initial step took us in a new direction.
As far as the Nodes are concerned, they lead our souls on a path; a life path if you will. Gemini and Sagittarius are the Signs of communication and learning. If you were born with your North Node, these Eclipses will reign most significant. You would be on a path of communication, learning, teaching, writing and spreading messages. A constant gathering and disseminating knowledge and the most interactive of all the Nodes bringing a wide array of friends and acquaintances throughout one’s life. Gemini stays close to home, local and with familiar faces where as Sagittarius is the global ambassador. The Gemini North Node has already seen the world as in their past life, they lived the life of the Sagittarius. Therefore, the Gemini North Node is asking us to put down solid roots, a simpler life than a galivanting Sag, and seeing things from the eyes of curiosity, that of a child, keeping information on its simpler level instead of over philosophizing everything. Although, Geminis are constantly on the move, Quick Silver as they are known by and hard to pin down. Communication is key, knowing the truth is the mission, getting the message out, but a lesson of this North Node is to simply listen; one cannot continue talking without taking a breath; slow down and listen.
Gemini North Node is to release the Sagittarius South Node. Ungrounded wanderlust, fixating on the future, righteous zealotry, hubris, judgment of others. Being a jack of all trades and biting off more than one can chew, speaking without gathering facts, being overly philosophical or getting lost in rhetoric and theory, arrogance, greed, lasciviousness, boorish and opinionated behavior and finally overwhelming one’s self with too many options. Rigidity and dogma.
Geminin North Node asks that we embrace community, being here now, being present, playful exploration, doing one thing at a time, improving active listening skills, partnerships and dynamic duos, hobbies, researching all facts and truths, the notion of “not knowing”, others opinions, seeing duality, and I keep hearing the phrase “The only rule is there are no rules”; there is not right or wrong, no black and white – everything just IS.
Expect much new information to come out during this North Node transit, especially where we thought we knew the answers as there are new truths to come and we will have to open our hearts and minds to accept this new information, new technology, new friends, new adventures. After two decades of work in this area, we ask ourselves “What is coming to fruition?”
Bravery, courage and vulnerability with bold, blunt communication and a touch of hope, vision and truth are on the horizon. Allow this time to bring up any residual grief as it is love at its highest decibel. Appreciate the growth and savor what remains.
Full Moons bring endings, initiation, receptivity, assimilation, and gratitude. Expect the unexpected, expect our shadow side to reemerge, this will be intense AF, revelations of truth emerge. Write down what you are leaving behind and burn it. Craft an intention for yourself for this new phase. This transit will be followed up with a New Moon in Sagittarius and a full Solar Eclipse on December 14th requesting that we release those old ideologies, a beliefs that hard held in rigid dogma and the Grand Conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter in Aquarius on the Winter/Summer Solstice December 21st. Keep your eyes on the skies December 16-22, 2020 when these planets will appear to form one bright and huge planet unlike anything we have seen to date! I cannot wait to see what this Grand Illumination will look like!
Most important of all is to rest, sleep and renew, especially if you have strong Gemini/Sagittarius aspects. These Moons will deplete our energy the most and in preparation for change and transformation.
Neptune has stationed Direct in Pisces on November 28th, bring clarity to the truth, no more living under the veil of illusions as the fog has lifted. Trust your intuition. Focus on what is authentic.
