Full Flower Moon, in Scorpio May 3, 2015 11:42 p.m. EST
“I am Scorpio!
I am the Scorpion, the eagle and the phoenix.
My sting can harm you, my heart can heal you.
My clairvoyant connections can always feel you.
I am the warrior that villains fear, the fearless hero that’s always near.
I am the rising bird of the creation flame,
I am eternal transcendence that you cannot tame.
Get lost in my gaze of untamable fire and discover just how deeply I desire”.- quoted from Astrolosophy
This Full Moon is another powerful and emotional one in Scorpio. This Moon is in full opposition to the Sun in Taurus, pulling us in two different directions.
Taurus is of the Ego and of the Earth. Scorpio is of the Emotions and of Water. Doesn’t that make mud?
If we stay grounded and go within and tune in to ourselves we can gain intuitive insight during this Full Moon, as Scorpio is a very clairvoyant sign. It is also a dark and passionate sign; combine that with the Sun in Taurus and you could be making some sexual and earth magic at the same time.
The Scorpio Full Moon represents Change, Transition and Growth; but expect an emotional ride with this one if you do not have your intensions and desires figured out, otherwise you will have some very blunt awakenings this month. That could be a good thing if you have been walking around aimlessly this year (even after the Triad of Energies in March and April), if you did not come out of those energies on the up and up you will gain quite a bit of eye opening knowledge about yourself this month.
I chose the photo above to represent this Full Moon because it is revealing all of the symbols that are present right now. We have the Phoenix which is rising up through the ashes enjoying a rebirth and a world anew. We have the Yin/Yang, Male/Female showing both sides of shadow and light and balance. Now is the time to become new and whole again and with perfect balance.
After this Moon, the Summer should be beautiful and smooth sailing for everyone. It is time to Celebrate!
The May Full Moon is also known as the Flower Moon and represents Fertility, abundance, new beginnings and a time to sow the seeds for what you want to manifest. Flowers emerging from the soil now also represent a rebirth and renewal like the Phoenix.
The Full Moon is also a time to release anything that is no longer serving you and/or a time to bring in and manifest that which you wish to have in your life. The best way to do this is through a symbolic ritual. It does not have to be elaborate. Native Americans and Shamans typically conduct a fire ceremony, but it can be as simple as lighting a candle and making your wishes.
Sometimes I will attend a Shamanic Fire Ceremony when the weather is pleasant, like it is today, but sometime I will just write down a list of desires and burn it in my fire pit in the backyard to send my wishes up through the universe, but I know some people that will burn their list in their kitchen sink or in a large pot if they do not have outdoor access. I always light a candle for Gratitude as well as I feel that we must be grateful for everything we have and do not have before anything “more” is allowed into our lives. One more tip or trick, if you are wanting to bring in and/or manifest; it’s always good to clear the clutter and get rid of your junk (physical and emotional) in order to make room for all the great things that will be coming to you. If you are too cluttered, there will not be any room for wonderful manifestations!
