Feng Shui Friday – 2 days late.
The week got away from me and I forgot all about publishing this week’s Feng Shui.
I want to introduce the Bagua this week and explain how to use one. Take a look at the photo above. If you can print it out then do so. Go to the main entrance area of your home. This should be the main front door. You should be using your main entrance for good Feng Shui Chi and I mention why in the “Clutter” Feng Shui Friday article here….using your main entrance.
Now imagine your home and the main floor as if it was this grid. Picture the entire main floor as if it were sectioned off like this grid (regardless of rooms and walls). If you can think of an area of your life that is shown on the grid that you would like to improve, that is where you would apply better Feng Shui to it. For example, I know my love life sucks. I look at the grid, when standing at my front door and know that the grid area of love life corresponds to my office. My office is the messiest room in my whole house …hmmm interesting as that is the One area of my life that just plain old sucks and is non-existent, much like my office, that room gets little or no attention. I hardly use it and it is a catch-all room that is out of sight and I just throw crap in there.
Now you can also take the Bagua and use it in individual rooms. Just picture the room as the grid and see if those areas need decluttering –it could be just one corner that you dump stuff into and that could be throwing everything off.
Since I have introduced the Bagua, in the coming weeks, I will focus on each section of the Bagua and little fixes you can do and apply to your areas to improve those sectors of your life!
O.K. so now that everyone knows that my love life sucks, my office is my relationship area of my home, my first step is to clean it up. That is the number one Feng Shui rule and priority. Also, the room is filled with mirrors and they are not a great idea for this area as they will reflect back any bad and negative energy that I may have regarding love and relationships, so they have to go. It would also be a good idea to start decorating that room in a more lovely way…it is all so “business” in there. The paint is green and it has a very Asian feel to it. Placing “pairs” of things in there would be a good idea.
Once I motivate myself to get this done, I will give you an update on my love life.
