FENG SHUI FRIDAY –Career Center
The Career Center is really all about what you do. For most people, that would be their jobs. For others, it could be what some consider as their life path and passion regardless of monetary gain (although that would be an excellent bonus).
Here are the basics:
- Primary Element: Water
- Best Color: Black
- Best Shapes: Free-Flowing or Without Shape
- Complementary Items: White, Metal, Rounded
- Destructive Items: Yellow, Earth, Squared or Flat
Now, when you look at the Bagua above, you will see that the Career Center should be the front entrance to your home; which in my case is also the Heart or Health Center of my home (I have a tiny house) and this could apply to apartments too that are smaller. So notice the complimentary colors – these go great with my surroundings, but the destructive colors are that of the Heart Center and those rooms or areas blend into each other at my house. So what to do? Balance the elements, keep it clean and try to at least put the main Feng Shui focus for each specific area in one spot closest to that area.
Flowing Water-
In Feng Shui, the flow of money is represented by flowing water. Therefore, if you want to have better pay/salary and a great position, it is best to have moving water (literally or figuratively) in the Career center of your home.
This moving water can be in the form of something like a water fountain or something that looks like or represents water like a large framed mirror or a picture of a calm-flowing river. Just make sure that the water is or appears to be flowing into the house and not out of the house. The same holds true even for paintings or pictures of water. If you really want to go over the top, put a fountain in your front yard. One word of caution, fountains, paintings or photos of water should be calm and serene because crashing waves will bring chaos to you. See below this is my Career Center and front entrance to my home and believe it or not, this is a color photo.
Make sure that you keep your front entrance clean, including your porch and keep the outside lights, doorbell, door knobs and handles all in good working order. Also, use your front entrance. The front door is the mouth of the home so when you are using your front door you are feeding your home with good chi or energy. It is essential to use your front door, otherwise you are starving your home and your life.
I recently found a television show called Feng Shui Living on ZLiving Channel. Now I really do not get the opportunity to watch very much T.V., between working full time, writing, blogging, tweeting, sleeping, taking care of 7 animals and keeping Zen; I am left with minimal time, but I hope to catch this show again so I can get more tips to beautify our lives. The only thing that is different than my Feng Shui, is they use a different Bagua which completely switches the directions around backwards in my home. So now I wonder if some things in my life are “off” because I am using the wrong or different Bagua and the answer is, if you bring all elements into each living area, balance the room and keep it clean all should have good Chi and good Feng Shui. I plan on exploring this a little more in the near future.
What I have to say I have noticed most and it was mentioned in the T.V. programme, is that I find I intuitively or instinctually have the correct Feng Shui in the correct places, you may find the same in your homes.
So, go forth and be prosperous and if you hate your job or are not making enough money, take a look at the entrance to your home – is it cluttered? That is always the best fix for any good Chi Feng Shui area.
