“Easter” stirs up a plethora of past life drama for me; it boils and burns within me and I used to sit in silence, quiet and obeying, but now I have a voice. In what I believe have been many past lives in the church – 8 planetary aspects in the 12th House, Midhaven, Chiron and Saturn among numerous asteroids in Pisces in the 9th House indicates and gives answers to my feelings about religion in general and what the real truth my soul has known for centuries. I always had this ambivalence towards organized religion and the church as an entity; that does not mean that I do not believe in a Higher Divine Guidance because I most certainly do, however, my beliefs are not controlled by any man-made organization that was created to control people through fear; yet my beliefs lie within a field of love and light, nature and creation – respect for all that is and the belief in being good, kind, respectful and grateful to all living creations being the essence of my worship. Before you ditch this article, take a moment to appease me and discover the true origins of this time of year.
Who is the April Fool? Back in the day- 8th century BC, in ancient Rome, April 1st was the beginning of
the New Year (not January 1st). Celebrations of Hilaria were begun on the Vernal Equinox, the first day of Spring and symbolized Mother Nature or Ostara fooling everyone with the unpredictability of the changing weather during this time of year.
Later in history, 1562 when the French switched from the Julian calendar, which had the first day of the year beginning on April 1st to the Gregorian calendar and the year beginning on January 1st, people that were slow to hear the news were called April Fools for continuing to believe the year began on April 1st. This ultimately also changed the true timing of historical events such as the birth of Jesus, which is believed to actually have been in March during the Sun in Pisces as opposed to December when the Sun is in Capricorn. The Sun in Pisces is the Divine whereas the Sun in Capricorn is the control of man; literally.
Easter, what is it really? Many that are celebrating today too are April Fools, little do they know the holiday they are celebrating is deeply steeped in old Germanic, Celtic, Anglo-Saxon, Druidic civiliations that also stem from the beginning of Spring. The Goddess, Ostara, Eostre, Eastre symbolize the egg and how she turned herself into a rabbit in order to survive the Winter, with her fur coat in her burrow, to emerge from her hole as beautiful Mother Nature. Fairy tale, yes, maybe, but so are the stories in the bible. Men, wise as they are, wishing to bring Christianity to these civilizations chose the timing and the name of Easter as well as several other “religious” holidays, to coincide with ongoing Pagan celebrations. This way everyone is celebrating during the same time and the Christians were able to slowly integrate their new beliefs into the population as a means of controlling the barbaric Romans and Pagans. Either way, it is a time to celebrate new beginnings and the rebirth of life. Whichever you choose I don’t judge (secretly I do) because I choose to be of my own mind and not controlled by some crazy man made beliefs that instill fear, hate and segregation; yet embrace love and inclusion. I tend to view organized religion as a form of brainwashing for the weak, the hopeless, the faithless and in a sense is good for those that are so lost; we all must begin somewhere and some need strict rules to live by in order to be a good person and penance or confession as a means of the forgiveness we all have within ourselves yet do not utilize. Whatever it is, just be a good person, harm none, forgive all.
Through decades of research, past life knowledge, astrology and support from fellow psychic astrologers I have discovered my deep seeded roots of disdain or organized religion due to my time not only as a teacher of magic, but one who was immersed in the order of the church. A true believer that ultimately saw the hatred and control the church had on man. How the stories in the bible are not taught correctly, how man used religion as power and cruelty instead of love; the true intention and teachings of the Divine. Man cannot be faulted as these traditions continue to be handed down from child to child. I always believe that we do as we know and until we know better, we cannot do better. There are many things I look back on, now that I know better, and regret not knowing better, but hating on myself is my old, past life conditioning from the church that I am trying to release through further learning and past life regression and healing.
