Things are feeling very, very strange and getting curiouser and curiouser by the day. Portals and Doorways and Vortexes have been opening with the concentrated planetary energy and it continues to quicken. I will admit, I live quite the strange life and not many people here “get” me, so it was wonderful to experience several doorways or portals to different worlds yesterday with people just like me. Those that can see, feel and hear the energy and reality shifts; confirming that I am not totally crazy!
Sometimes, I think I am the only one experiencing the weirdness surrounding me, so it is always welcome when others that I am enjoying a day with are picking up on the overload of synchronicities. I recently wrote how we are Between Worlds and how the energies are feeling like Halloween, yesterday in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania was a Trick or Treater’s delight! Nestled into the mountains along the Appalachian Trail lies a little village that time forgot. The buildings date back to the 19th Century, not super old considering that I am from Philadelphia area and many of the buildings are Circa 1600’s 17th-Century Stone Gems, adorned upon cobblestone streets that are 400 years old; just the same, Jim Thorpe offers up a quaintness and an era that I just could not put my finger on.
The day began with a relaxing lunch atop Penn’s Peak with a beautiful overlook of Carbon County and the village of Jim Thorpe. You may have heard of the infamous Jim Thorpe of Olympic fame, but that is not my story today. Let me say, ascending the spiral of the mountain to the top of Penn’s Peak causes one’s ears to pop. That always makes me feel like I am entering new dimensions. The same goes with the descent back into the village. Maybe it is the fresh air up there that made everything feel different than my normal reality? Our conversation filled lunch was the launching pad of synchronicity; from the Heinz 57 Ketchup bottle, to the music playing on the Jukebox. Posters of the Musicians and Bands that have played at Penn’s Peak were throwing me back to my youth and I was quite impressed that The Peak drew many top billed artists. Afterward, we headed back to the place that time forgot.
The small town offers an abundant public parking lot along the Lehigh River and Railroad where white water rafting can be had by the adventurous to the left and for the young at heart, a 19th Century steam engine site seeing ride to the right. We headed for the shopping option. It almost feels Harry Potter-ish in Diagon Alley, the tiny, brownstone buildings painted with colorful window sashes are like little gems dotting the streets and pathways. The tall 3-story steeple of a local church is the tallest building seen by eye. I was excited to stop in one of the only 5 & 10 cent stores still in operation, and typical of myself, I walked right past it as we headed for the Mauch Chunk Emporium. A double store front shop filled with baubles, trinkets and glass bubbles; crystals and ornaments with a section especially for Other World Travelers that delved a littler darker than I prefer. Fairies, Angels and Unicorns abound; the store was filled with Animal Totem symbolism beyond! The Signs really began revealing themselves inside this diminutive and crammed establishment as I spoke of the Signs and Symbols that I have been seeing, only to find confirmation either right in front of me or at my back. One example, I was telling the ladies about the Dragon’s Lair card that will come in later this week and how it is telling us to be wary of Red Flags that are surrounding us as we tip-toe on the edge of The Lair. I slightly turned my head to see a wall of Dragons and one of my friendly companions pointed out that directly behind me was a wall of Red trinkets and brick-a-brack. It was if the walls were confirming what I was speaking. We turned the corner and crossed through to the other side of the shop, I noticed a Ouija Board set for sale and knew it was time for me to exit the Emporium.
Every where you walk throughout the village you will see references to Alice in Wonderland; I am surprised that we did not see the Mad Hatter and the Cheshire Cat running through the woods that surround all of the buildings. The buildings themselves are not only from another time, but were constructed in such an unusual way that I have not seen prior. As we rounded the corner at the top of the main street, there were a few hidden buildings that I wandered off to. The home that caught my attention was painted with wide yellow and purple stripes and there were art installations in the front of the home and a self portrait of the homeowner and artist next to the front door. Next to this home was a clearing with an even larger art installation built into the terrace of brown stones stacked one on top of the other, at least 15 stories high. The art piece looked like a manger filled with stick made life-sized deer. The home was built into the terraces as well and there was an electric blue door at the back of the home that opened to a free fall straight to the ground. I felt like I had stepped into a vortex or portal from the 1800’s; I couldn’t quite put my finger on where I was or how I felt. I took pictures of this sacred little space and I saw them on my phone, but when I went to show my companions, the photos were gone! I found a street view online – look for the photo with the arrow in the gallery below!.
Walking through the tiny, crooked streets, you can feel smokey vapors of disembodied beings surrounding you and each window has eyes peering out at you from the netherworld begging you to enter their space; whispering your name to enter – cautiously! We were each drawn to different doors of interest as if we were each playing out a different past life rerun. Wendy, definitely was drawn into a nether-realm when she read “Meade Samplings” on a burgundy painted door inside a creepy building we darted in to take shelter from the torrential down pours of rain. She was in her happy place and I had a feeling of a Renaissance Faire in the air. Three jovial robust young ladies were manning the medieval, yet empty, wine shoppe. We lined up to the bar for our tasting menus and enjoyed some 13th Century recipes and strange brew.
The next little shop that we happened upon was our last stop before heading home. We approached the shop’s door with the sign “Down the Rabbit Hole” written on it; turned the knob and it felt like hitting a brick wall. Whoomp! is what I heard; as if all energy and all the air was just shut down and sucked out. I was reluctant to enter, but two of my friends were already inside. I stood inside the front door when the girls noticed the dead bats on a table for sale inside of little mini-coffins. It made me feel sad. Luckily, my one friend, who has a direct Angelic connection, said “I have to leave this place!” I concurred and asked “You mean you feel it too?” They all agreed and we were all so happy to be with each other and to be with like-minded people that can see, feel and hear the unusual and we don’t have to explain to each other what we sensed. It is extremely freeing to be with other people that know and understand when you have extrasensory perception.
I was reminded of another time I was with two different girl friends, both from out of state and visiting for an Abraham Hicks workshop. We were at one of my favorite stomps for dinner, inside a building from the early 18th Century, in Bucks County Pennsylvania. Before the Meal, we went upstairs to use the restroom. As I was coming down the stairs, trailing the girls, we stepped from one dining room, through the waiting area to proceed into the bar, when I was sucked back in time to another era for maybe just 10 or 15 seconds. I saw the area filled with people in period garb and I was unsure of where to walk so that I wouldn’t bump into anyone; I just stood still. I wasn’t sure if I was inside a building or outside in a market place; everything was swirling around me and felt wobbly. And WHOOSH I was back! I asked my friends if it happened to them too as I was Oh my Goshing all the way back to our patio table outside. They too understand exactly what happened to me despite them not being on this particular journey with me. This was back in October of 2015, when the veil was thin and the planetary energy was extremely high as well; not as high as it is right now though!
This is a very interesting time and stepping through this town made me realize how the portals are opening; the veil is very thin right now. It is ever more important to be mindful of what we are manifesting; straddling this world and others, other dimensions. Contact with many types of entities are possible, so be sure to keep up your protection, call in the Angels and your Spirit Guides to show you the light. Ask for Signs, ask your questions, make your wishes; the time is now! Then keep your eyes open and your senses sharp; you just may experience some strange days ahead. Align your energy towards the positive and you too can find some magical miracles happen to you too. If you are looking for a little weekend get-a-way pack with weirdness, ghosts and haunting, many of the buildings and establishments relish on their haunted history and tours are available at the heavily haunted throughout the village.
Dreams can be especially wild and revealing during this time. Pay attention to them as they can be both prophetic and cathartic. I expect this energy to continue through November; if I see the Red Queen throughout this journey, I will be running for the hills.

Great post KIm! You really have a talent for writing and when I got to the photos at the bottom some of it actually looked like what I had pictured. Except I don’t know if I was visualizing or actually seeing it, lol.
