August 2019 Moon & Astro Highlights!

August 2019 is measuring up to be another exciting Astronomical and Astrological month for us and deserved its own blog and video.

I would like to point out, when I speak of the various Degrees in the New and Full Moons and the Houses they appear at the time of the “event” it is important to look at your own chart and see which House or Mansion these Signs and Degrees fall into your own personal Natal Charts in order to discover what part of your life this will affect directly.

Let’s begin with some explosive Meteor Showers for both the Southern and Northern Hemispheres:

SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE -brings us the Delta Aquariids Mid-July through August 23rd with the Peak being July 30th after Midnight and before Sunrise.
NORTHERN HEMISPHERE-brings the Perseid Meteor Showers beginning July 17 and showing until August 24th, with the Peak days on August 11, 12, 13th and best seen after Midnight and before Dawn.
Actually both Meteor Showers can be seen in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, however, they have a full showing shower in their respective hemi’s.

SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE -brings us the Delta Aquariids Mid-July through August 23rd with the Peak beginning July27, 28, 29 & 30th after Midnight and before Sunrise.

Actually, both Meteor Showers can be seen in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, however, they have a full showing shower in their respective hemispheres.
The Delta Aquariids can be viewed outside of the constellation Aquarius, directly below the Great Square of Pegasus and above Fomalhaut, most likely in the Southeast or western sky.
The Perseids can be viewed outside of the constellation Perseus, just below Cassiopeia and in the Northeast sky after Midnight.
Sky Applications Recommended (free) Google Sky Map or Star Tracker. Either of these will help you locate the constellations and the radiant points. Just move your phone around through the sky above you and the screen will move in real time. Google Sky Map is a much simpler app, whereas Sky Tracker is really beautiful, yet the screen is loaded with so many sky graphics, it could make a less experienced Astronomer have difficulty finding the points unless you already have a good idea of stars, planets, constellations and directions. I have decades of professional Astronomy study behind my belt and personally use both applications depending on what I am looking for in my experience at the time.
These and other prolific Meteor Showers are definitely worth setting your alarm to wake up early and see these before the Sun rises; the best time to catch them anyway.
Do not use a telescope- it is a waste of time and you will miss out on some really beautiful meteors.
Try to find the darkest place for comfortable viewing. Lay back to avoid neck strain. Allow your eyes at least 10 minutes to adjust to the darkness. Allow your peripheral vision to view as much of the sky above as you can and to see the widest view. Meteors can come from any direction off the radiant.

NEW “BLACK” MOON in Leo- July 31-August 2^nd at 8 degrees in the 5^th Astrological House, with a Trine in Fire.

A “Black” Moon is the second New Moon in any given month. Similar to a “Blue” Moon which is a second Full Moon in a given month.
All Astrological Signs return to their Home House or Mansion. There will be a recalibration, a coming home to who you are and where you shine the brightest before we go off on our next learning journey.
We will all benefit from this New Moon being in the 5^th House of Leo; where Pleasure, Romance and Play reign and rule. We all want to have the pleasure of being romanced in some fashion; whether it be romantically or just with our daily life. The Sun is shining down on us and Leo rules love and the Self. This is a great time to seek pleasure of the Self.
The 8 degree is significant as it symbolizes balance; the Karmic Equalizer; we will reap what we have sown. Creation as well as destruction are possible, depending on how we have lived our lives, treated others, our selves, and all living creatures and nature. 8 is the material and immaterial, it is Eternal. Expect an increase of energy and financial flow when the 8 shows up, but beware, just because 8 is abundance, a misuse or abuse to our financial could bring a financial downfall. I am hearing “Don’t be willy nilly with your money, yet spend it well and with good purpose and value.”

LION’s GATE PORTAL – August 8 – 8/8 – Is a Super Activation of the New Moon in Leo at 8 degrees. This is where we step into the power of Leo the Lion. We take pride in ourselves and in improving ourselves for all humanity. We are blessed by benevolent entities that cross the Veil to sprinkle magical humanitarian stardust upon us as we build to the Full Moon in Humanitarian Aquarius the following week. This portal allows us to expand as humans and shed our Karmic layers from the past and from past lives. An activation or ascension to a higher spiritual level can be achieved if you allow yourselves to tap into the increasing energy that is coming our way.

The 8-8-2019 Lions Gate Activation
Every year on and around the 8th day of the 8th month of the year (August 8th), there is a cosmic alignment called “the Lions Gateway”. The Lions Gate is a time of increased cosmic energy flowing between the physical and spiritual realms.

FULL MOON AUGUST 15TH in AQUARIUS @22 degrees in the 5^th House @ 8:29 A.M. EST- Still we have a Trine in Fire between the Sun, Jupiter and Chiron, a mini-Trine if you will. 22 is a Master Number of Aquarius, it is the Master Alchemist, the Master Builder. Teamwork, Co-Creation and Humanitarian efforts are able to move into play. After shedding much that weighs us down, Fearless Leaps of Faith can be taken after this Full Moon. The energy of the 5^th House further allows us to play and romance ourselves a little longer before we are forced to become more serious about the future by clearing the past. Seriously, take this time to let go of anything, any place that does not have your full heart of belonging. Allow your inner-child to fully emerge and sing the song of joy and happiness. Great ideas may come through in the coming days as the 22 is also the Master Creator.

NEW MOON AUGUST 30^TH in VIRGO @ 6 degrees in the 12^th House @6:37 A.M. EST- The 6 is a shift towards Love, but serious and impeccable Virgo does not have time for issues of the heart. This is a time to look to the past, discover the wounds that sealed our hearts originally, rub some salve on them and allow the heart to open to the possibility of love; not just romantic love, but love for all things in our lives. Discover that if we truly do not love something, then we should not have that in our lives. I always say “If it’s not a Hell Yes, then it has to be a Hell NO!” The 6 also brings Harmony, Balance, Security and Nurturing. Family or those we consider to be family become more important than what we are programmed and preconditioned to believe is important; like certain social and business titles and statuses- they fall to the wayside as our inner souls and who we are at our core are much more important than silly labels. 6 represents Above and Below, Love and Union, Perfection (which the Virgo will adore), Imagination and Creativity.

· 12^th House though is the House of the Unconscious and Subconscious as it is Ruled by Pisces. This House requires we review where we have been, what we have done; our strengths and weaknesses. Many of society does not want or cannot deal with these types of reviews as so many people do not want to ever look within themselves and discover anything other than greatness.

· The 12^th House is The Shadow, our Fears, the Past and Past Lives, Fate, Karma, Transformation and Rebirth. Taking these all into review allows one to move forward.

· Hidden things, Hiding ourselves away in the Past, Secrets and Skeletons in our Closets live in the 12^th House. Things we must face, limiting beliefs, self-limiting beliefs, healing, Endings and Closure are just some of the themes we will face following this New Moon.

· MERCURY DIRECT August 2^nd @24 degrees – =6 – pay attention to the above 6 messages. Also, the last Lunar Eclipse (Full Moon) July 16, 2019 was also aspected at 24=6 degrees. This degree continues to activated over and over again.

· JUPITER DIRECT August 12^th @14 degrees = 5- play, romance and the mind, change is coming.

· URANUS RETROGRADE August 12^th @6 degrees- the 6 again -Just Sayin’
