Fated Love, Soul Mates and Karmic Destiny –Venus Retrograde March 4-April 15, 2017
I think I have been waiting for this moment for more than 20 years and it is finally here, the planet of Love is moving backward or “going Retrograde” this Saturday, March 4, 2017 and will continue its backward slide for six full weeks giving all of us the opportunity for true, fated love and financial opportunities just waiting for us to accept and grab up.
Just like a Mercury Retrograde, there is always a Pre and Post Shadow period where we may feel the effects before and after the actual Retrograde. The Pre-Shadow began around January 30th, planting the seeds of want; want of something more than what we currently have, whether it is love or money, new job or in some cases a divorce or breakup – the need for something more to fulfill and sustain our souls. The Post Shadow will end around May 18th, which will finalize and solidify the previous six weeks of Fate and Destiny.
You can expect a Whirlwind Romance or a rush of money to come flooding into your life during this Retrograde, but I have to caution you to choose what shows up carefully as impulsiveness can lead to catastrophe and poor, unthought-of choices. Examine the opportunities (at least briefly) so that you are not left a sad, hurting mess in May. Lust over Love can lead to heartbreak and sorrow and any Get Rich Quick scheme will fall flat and leave you in debt in the end, possibly pawning your Grandmother’s engagement ring to bail yourself out of the debt. As long as Love is applied on all levels you will not go wrong. There are so many True Love Stories waiting to ignite; mutual attractions that have been Fated for centuries and only Destiny awaits; it is the Fire of Aries that sparks this in early March and lands in Dreamy Pisces come April – many of you will be swooning with hearts pouring out your commitment to the other. Expect the seeds of Marriage, Commitment, and Children to be planted during this time. It appears (from the planets) that after this Whirlwind, there will be a delay or shared burden held by both partners that will eventually draw you both even closer together toward the end of Summer when the Sun moves into Leo fanning the flames into a deeper bonded Love. How beautiful does this sound?
Venus can be coy and cunning like the woman she is, yes she is sweet at her best, but remember the old adage “A Woman Scorned”… or a man for that matter. We can expect some bitterness coming from this Retrograde in the form of old Karma resurfacing aka past lovers may show up at your door, texting you in the middle of the night, calling the house phone professing their undying love for you one last time; these are NOT your Soul Mates, there is a reason why they are your past lovers; keep the past in the past, be patient and wait, for someone new is on the way. Once again I will remind you and myself to choose wisely during this Retrograde. I know for me, whenever there is a Venus or Mercury Retrograde; old boyfriends come out of the woodwork. It is flattering in a sense since I am single and it is so tempting to fall into the trap of someone paying attention to me, then my head snaps back to reality and I remember what total douche bags they were and the reasons for not currently being together, I say thank you, it was great speaking to you and later gator! It is so easy to get sucked back in, to remember just the good times and how nice it was to have someone to swoon over, then I also remember that I love myself better than any of these losers … I will choose to be patient and have faith that the Universe will FINALLY send me my love.
Those of you that are currently in a solid and loving relationship will only strengthen your bonds during this time. Some old issues that you keep pushing away, discussions that have been ignored need to resurface so that you can clear the air and build a deeper bond. Forgiveness is required. Old memories and nostalgia play a role in creating some much needed romance. Caution to those who are wishing to end an unsatisfying relationship during this time, at the end of the main six weeks you will have a change of heart. Sometimes we just become bored being with the same person for such a prolonged period of time, so, I recommend trying new things together. Set a weekly date night, do nice things for each other, have a picnic since the weather is nice, get out in nature together or go to a museum- go for a walk and hold each other’s hands.
Completely outside of the relationship ring yet still part of the Venus energy is beauty itself. If you are not in the market for a new love you can still take advantage of this lovely Venus energy by creating and finding beauty in everything and everywhere you go. Open your eyes and hearts wide and try to see all of the beauty that is before you each day. Perceptions shift during this time, make sure you are seeing the Sugary side of Perception and not the Sour side. Make it a point to either create or find one beautiful thing each day over the next six weeks. When we do this as an assignment, at the end of the six weeks you will find yourself in the habit of looking for the beauty and it will become a part of your daily life.
